The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) recently announced the opening of a new park and ride location in the city of Davenport as part of the implementation of the Iowa Park and Ride System Plan.

The new site is free to the public and is intended for use with ride-sharing services, carpools, and public transit.

Established through a public-private partnership between Iowa DOT and Thunder Bay Grille in Davenport, the park and ride is located at the intersection of North Brady Street and Veterans Memorial Parkway approximately one-half mile south of Interstate 80.

The site is adjacent to Davenport’s CitiBus Red Line 4 route and can be used as a pick-up location for River Bend Transit’s daily park and ride shuttle service.

The site can be accessed from Jason Way Court and has spaces for approximately 55 vehicles.

Iowa DOT noted that services and schedules for each transit service are available on Citibus’ and River Bend Transit’s websites.
