The A. Stucki Company, a U.S.-based designer, manufacturer, and supplier of engineered products and services to the international rail transportation market, announced that Jacob Creech will take on the position of chief growth officer.
Stucki said Creech will lead all commercial functions including sales operations and customer engagement. Previously, Creech served as VP of sales. Officials said Creech will report directly to the company’s CEO, Ron Port.
“This is an internal succession that reflects both Jacob’s impact and the strength of talent we’re developing within our organization,” said Port. “Jacob and his team will focus on building our customer partnerships and developing and converting our sales pipeline while ensuring alignment between operations and finance.”
Creech joined Stucki in 2024. Prior to that, he was the director of locomotive and railcar leasing for Progress Rail, an Alabama-based division of Caterpillar, Inc. Progress Rail manufactures railroad and transit system products. Prior to that, Creech was a service engineer with Amsted Rail, a Chicago-based manufacturer of freight car components and other rail-related items.
Creech holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business from Troy University in Troy, Ala.
Stucki recently announced it had acquired Wheelworx, a railcar wheelset reconditioning service provider, in Calera, Ala., and Pekin, Ill. The company said the acquisition is part of an integration plan to maintain production capabilities and customer service.
“The addition of Wheelworx opens new commercial opportunities and enhances our ability to provide end-to-end solutions to our railcar customers,” Port said. “It also makes us competitive in additional locations in the South and Midwest.”
Stucki is headquartered in Pittsburgh and operates as more than a dozen companies with 23 operating centers in the United States, Mexico, and Brazil.
