The Commuter Rail Coalition (CRC), an association representing commuter rail agencies and operators, is seeking its next CEO.
Taylor Transportation Search Group has begun a national search to replace KellyAnne Gallagher who founded the organization in 2019.
Gallagher has served as CEO since the organization’s founding. Under her leadership, it has grown into a national organization focused on advancing the interests of commuter railroads and the passengers they serve. She plans to step down in April 2027.
“The CRC is in a strong position for its next chapter,” Gallagher said. “We have a clear mission, a strong foundation, and a growing recognition of the essential role commuter rail plays in the nation’s transportation network. I look forward to turning the reins over to my successor knowing that the organization is well positioned to continue building on what we have accomplished together.”
This is a critical time for the commuter rail industry, the organization said. Railroads face significant challenges and opportunities regarding infrastructure, insurance, federal investment, operations, safety, work force, and the evolving role of commuter rail in the nation’s transportation system.
The Commuter Rail Coalition’s goal is to advocate for the policies and resources, educate policymakers and stakeholders, share best practices, and advance the industry.
