Breeze Airways recently agreed to expand and enhance its operations in New York state.

The airline will now provide service out of Stewart International Airport in New Windsor, N.Y., and will add round trip flights from the airport to Orlando, Fla., and Charleston, S.C., starting in February.

In addition, the airline will provide service to New York Stewart in the Hudson Valley.

“The Port Authority has a steadfast commitment to investing in the future growth of New York Stewart. That includes bringing in more airlines, such as Breeze, which in turn helps to spur regional economic activity,” Rick Cotton, New York and New Jersey Port Authority executive director, said. “New York Stewart offers unique, competitive choices for both domestic and international travelers, and we look forward to this partnership.”

Breeze Airways established service out of Syracuse Hancock International Airport last year to unserved, high demand areas.

Earlier this year, it launched service at Plattsburgh International Airport in Plattsburgh, N.Y.

“Breeze Airways’ continued expansion in New York is blowing a gust of fresh air into new affordable air service for Orange County and families across the Hudson Valley,” U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-NY) said in a statement announcing the new service.
