With NAFTA, tax reform, and workforce development challenges on the horizon, the Motor & Equipment Manufacturer Association (MEMA) named four executives to its board of directors on Tuesday.
Françoise Colpron, group president of Valeo North America; Tim Musgrave, president and CEO of Pressure Systems International; David Overbeeke, president and CEO of Brake Parts; and Jens Schueler, president of Automotive Aftermarket Americas and the Schaeffler Group USA have been appointed to two- or three-year terms on the board of directors.
“Never before has the mobility industry had to embrace so many advances in vehicle technology so quickly and on a global scale,” MEMA President and CEO Steve Handschuh said. “Combine that with the possibility of dramatic changes to NAFTA and tax reform, and it becomes obvious why it is critical we have experienced, talented and insightful executives at the helm of our trade association. It has never been so important that our collective voice be clear and strong on the issues that affect us, and the 2018 MEMA Board of Directors is well-positioned to help lead our industry.”
The MEMA Board of Directors also elected its officers for 2018. Dan Sceli, the president and CEO of Peterson Spring Corp., will serve as chairman; Samir Salman, the CEO of NAFTA Region at Continental Automotive Systems, will serve as vice chairman; Tom Ward, the senior vice president of Snap-on Inc. will serve as vice chairman; Joseph McAleese, the chairman of Bendix CVS, will serve as treasurer; and Mike Mansuetti, the president of Robert Bosch North America, will serve as director.
