The Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) recently presented this year’s Excellence in Airport Marketing, Communications, and Customer Service Awards at an ACI-NA conference in St. Louis.

The awards honor marketing and communications professionals working in airports who possess creativity, talent, and quality of work.

Nearly 350 entries were received in 19 categories.

“Communication, marketing, and customer service professionals play a leading role in telling the story of an airport within the community and to the broader aviation system,” ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke said. “ACI-NA is pleased to recognize achievements of these professionals and their dedication to connecting with their passengers and communities in meaningful ways.”

The top award, the Peggy G. Hereford Award, was given to Miami International Airport. This is the second time the airport has won the top award. The facility also placed in six other categories, including best customer service campaign for a large airport.
