Lance Lyttle, the managing director of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac), has been appointed to the board of directors for the Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA).

He will serve throughout 2018, and in that role will help represent commercial airports throughout the United States and Canada. The position marks Lyttle as an industry leader, though he just became managing director at the Port of Seattle in January 2016. Sea-Tac, however, has been in the process of a multi-billion dollar modernization program Lyttle has led. When finished, it will include a new International Arrivals Facility, satellite modernization and an upgrade to its baggage handling system.

“I am honored to fill this role for ACI-NA and to help fulfill its mission to advocate policies and provide services that strengthen our industry,” Lyttle said. “In particular, I hope to further the ability of airports to serve passengers, customers and communities.”

Lyttle came to the industry with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in physics and computer science, as well as a Master of Science degree in management information systems. Prior to working at Sea-Tac, he also served as CEO for Houston’s three airports and led development programs for airports there and in Atlanta.
