Alaska Airlines’ board of directors recently selected Andrea “Andy” Schneider as vice president of people and Shane Tackett as the company’s senior vice president of revenue management and e-commerce.

Schneider’s new position will focus on employee benefits, compensation, training and development, recruiting, and employee travel for both Alaska and Horizon Air.

Prior to her new position, Schneider worked as the company’s vice president of in-flight and call center services where she oversaw more than 4,000 flight attendants and 1,300 customer care and reservation agents in their daily duties. She has also worked as senior vice president of people and customer services at Horizon and as staff president of station operations and cargo services at Alaska.

Schneider holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Gonzaga University and an MBA from the University of Washington.

“Andy’s hands on approach to leading one of Alaska’s largest and most important workgroups will serve her well in her new role as the vice president of people,” Alaska Airlines CEO Brad Tilden said. “She understands that employees are what makes Alaska and Horizon special and they are critical to our future success.”

In his new role, Tackett will oversee pricing, yield management, revenue analysis, and e-commerce initiatives. Beginning with the company in 2000, Tackett has served in various positions including vice president of revenue management and e-commerce and as vice president of labor relations.

Tackett holds a bachelor’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University and an executive MBA from the University of Washington.

“Shane has led some of our company’s largest, most complex and successful initiatives, helping to deliver a premium experience to guests onboard and at alaskaair.com,” Tilden said. “His expertise and analytical acumen have made impactful and long-lasting improvements in every area of the company that he’s led over the past 17 years.”
