Bouchard Transportation Co. Inc. recently selected Shawn Garry as the company’s new Vice President of Regulatory Compliance.
In his new position, Garry will work to ensure that Bouchard meets SubChapter M requirements and that the highest levels of regulatory compliance are met.
He will also serve as the company’s primary point-of-contact for Gulf Coast region internal and external vetting, ship inspection reports (SIRE), the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and international safety management (ISM).
Prior to his selection at Bouchard, Garry worked at the USCG as a senior marine inspector, a marine casualty investigator, and as an engineer of the Watch Afloat.
“Shawn’s expertise will bring an advanced level of compliance to the Safety and Vetting Department at Bouchard, which will allow us to ensure that our commitment to safety remains a top priority,” Morton S. Bouchard current holds a fleet of 26 double-hulled barges, 25 tugboats, and provides services throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Canada.
