Greenlane, a company developing, building and operating a nationwide network of electric public charging stations for commercial vehicles, recently announced it will be entering Texas.
The company plans sites in Dallas and Houston along the I-45 corridor that will feature six to eight pull-through charging lanes and parking to support drop-and-hook relay operations and overnight stops. The chargers designed will support combined current-generation trucks’ charging system connectors and for next-generation vehicles’ megawatt charging system connectors.
“Our customers are making commitments to electrify their fleets, and they need a charging network that can grow alongside them,” Patrick Macdonald-King, Greenlane CEO, said. “This is the first leg of the Texas triangle, one of the more important freight arteries in the country, so bringing high-power charging there is the next logical step in building a network that serves how freight moves across America. Every site we develop is guided by a demand-driven strategy — and this is a big next step to building out the broader network.”
The Dallas-Houston corridor is among the highest-volume commercial trucking routes in the United States.
Greenlane hosted a press conference on Tuesday at ACT Expo 2026 at the Las Vegas Convention Center to unveil additional details about the Texas expansion.
