American Trucking Associations (ATA) recently renewed its ATA Featured Product agreement with Noregon, a vehicle-data expert company.
Noregon manufactures TripVision, a remote vehicle health and safety monitoring solution. The system provides information on the status of commercial vehicles. It analyzes more than 44,000 faults and groups them based on the affected component and severity of the fault.
This analysis is used to determine the health of the vehicle and to provide alerts to situations that affect fuel economy.
“Using innovative technology to track and manage fleet operations and being able to forecast maintenance and efficiency opportunities allows for trucking companies to increase productivity and safety.” ATA President and CEO Chris Spear said. “ATA is always looking for partnerships with companies like Noregon that create a safer and more productive environment for the trucking industry.”
Last month, ATA renewed its featured product agreement with EROAD, an electronic compliance, tax, safety, and fleet management provider, for a second year. The company’s system records drivers’ drive time and on-duty hours.
In June, ATA added Seeing Machines, a developer and supplier of face and eye tracking software, to the ATA Featured Product provider program.
Artificial intelligence has created an innovative way to monitor a driver’s attentiveness, Spear said.
