AAR Corp., a global aftermarket solutions company supporting commercial and government aviation, recently signed a 10-year agreement with Air Canada to service its fleet.
The agreement includes the maintenance of a 126 Airbus narrow-body fleet of A319, A320, and A321 aircraft.
A five-year agreement also was signed for the maintenance of the airline’s Embraer E-190 fleet.
The deals are valued at approximately $407.9 million.
The work will be performed at AAR’s Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility at Trois-Rivières Airport in Québec.
“We have been very pleased with the quality and turnaround time of AAR and the Trois-Rivières facility for the work performed on our narrow-body fleet over the past five years, and are especially delighted that additional work can now be performed in Trois-Rivières Québec,” Richard Steer, senior vice president of operations at Air Canada, said. “This contract further supports the development of Québec’s aviation sector by encouraging industry expertise and job growth in the coming years, and Air Canada is proud to be a significant contributor to the economy of the region.”
AAR is looking forward to this relationship with Air Canada, the company said.
AAR employs 5,000 people in more than 20 countries. In addition to maintenance, the company provides parts and supports military and humanitarian missions.
