United Airlines recently announced it will give up to three million bonus miles to MileagePlus members who donate to Hurricane Harvey relief charities.

The charities are the American Red Cross, AmeriCares, Airlink and Operation USA. Donations must be made on United’s fundraising page.

MileagePlus users must enter their member number when making a donation. Bonus miles will be given based on donation amount. No bonus miles are earned for donations under $50. Donations between $50-$99 equal 250 bonus miles, donations between $100-$249 equal 500 bonus miles while donations above $250 equals 1,000 bonus miles.

United also will match the first $100,000 raised. Donations must be made before Sept. 16.

“The thoughts and hearts of the entire United family are fixed firmly on everyone impacted by Hurricane Harvey,” United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz said. “We will be with them every step of the way and the only equal to the severity of this storm is the seriousness of purpose that we are all taking to ensure that these devastated communities recover fully and stronger than ever.”

United’s second-largest hub is George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. The storm forced the airline to divert dozens of flights Sunday morning and to cancel all flights at the airport.
