Foss Maritime recently announced that Will Roberts will be joining the company as its new Chief Commercial Officer.
As part of his new position, Roberts will be responsible for a customer-facing team that will focus its efforts on market share and long-term financial growth.
According to Foss, the newly-developed role will advance its global perspective on market opportunities and lead in the assessment of geographic and operational market segments through marketing, sales, and business development activities.
“The existing sales team at Foss is very professional,” Roberts said. “We won’t be changing the core of what we do, but we might change how we look for business and where we look. The marketplace continues to change, and wherever there is change, there is opportunity.”
Prior to joining Foss, Roberts served as SVP of Customer Services-Americas at Rolls-Royce. While there, he also worked as the company’s west coast sales manager, VP of global customer training and services development in Norway, and as chief of staff to the president of Rolls-Royce Land and Sea in London.
“Will is passionate about growing high performing teams that deliver results in changing markets,” John Parrot, president and CEO of Foss, said. “His extensive experience in maritime services, educational background, and strong leadership make him an ideal person for this new position with Foss Maritime.”
Roberts is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and holds a bachelor’s degree in ocean engineering. He also received a graduate degree in engineering management from Old Dominion University.
