The U.S. State Department’s Office of Aviation recently awarded a five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a maximum value of $111 million to Arista Aviation Services LLC to perform maintenance and modifications as needed to the agency’s UH-1 helicopter fleet.

Under terms of the contract, Arista will perform recurring aircraft conditions inspections for UH-1 modifications; corrosion identification, removal, and treatment; component and accessory overhaul; and refurbishment as needed.

All work will be performed at the company’s headquarters, a Federal Aviation Administration-certified Part 145 Repair Station, located at the Enterprise Municipal Airport in Enterprise, Alabama.

“Arista Aviation is pleased to be given the opportunity to continue to provide the Department of State, Office of Aviation, with safe, reliable, refurbished aircraft,” Rich Enderle, Arista’s president and CEO, said.

Enderle continued, stating that the company will be working hard to expand its presence in the marketplace and that it was already formulating plans to expand its current facility to accommodate its planned growth.

In addition to performing UH-1 maintenance, the company also provides upgrades for UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters and refurbishes aircraft purchased from the U.S. Army’s UH-60 divestiture program.
