With the arrival of an Airbus A-330 at Seattle-Tacoma (Sea-Tac) International Airport this week, the Port of Seattle welcomed a new service from low-cost German airline Eurowings: a nonstop flight to Cologne, Germany.

The addition allows travelers access to Germany’s fourth-largest city on a leisure airline service. That trip will be offered two times a week as a seasonal service aboard 310-seat Airbuses.

It is another notch on a continually growing belt for Sea-Tac, which has set annual passenger records for the past six years. In 2016 alone, 45.7 million people went through the airport–3.4 million more than the previous year. For that reason, the airport has welcome five other new international airlines beyond Eurowings since 2016: Aeromexico, Norwegian, Virgin Atlantic, Volaris and Xiamen. It is to date the ninth busiest airport in the U.S.

Catering to that growth, Sea-Tac is scheduled to break ground on a new multi-level International Arrivals Facility later this year, with completion projected for 2019.

For Eurowings, Sea-Tac marks one of only four destinations in the United States, but it provides flights to more than 130 destinations across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
