Kentucky-based R. J. Corman Railroad Group, a railroad service provider, recently announced it has named John Tudor to serve as interim chief operating officer of contracted services, effective immediately.

“John knows our contracted services businesses, our customers, and our teams,” Justin Broyles R. J. Corman Railroad Group, president and CEO, said. “His experience and steady leadership will provide continuity as we remain focused on operating safely, serving our customers, and supporting our employees. We are confident in John’s ability to lead the group during this transition.”

Tudor has experience leading initiatives and is familiar with the contracted services organization. He joined R. J. Corman in 2017 and held numerous roles, most recently as chief administrative officer and chief of staff. As interim chief operating officer, he will lead the company’s contracted services operations while a search is conducted for a permanent chief operating officer.

Prior to R. J. Corman, Tudor managed field service operations in industrial manufacturing and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

The R. J. Corman Railroad Group serves all major North American railroads, many regional and short line railroads, and dozens of industries. Its services include owning and operating 19 short lines, and providing emergency rail services associated with derailments and natural disasters.
