Colorado-based OmniTRAX, a rail management company, recently added 25 acres in Casa Grande, Ariz., to its Phoenix industrial outdoor storage (IOS) portfolio.
“The Casa Grande acquisition is our latest commitment to the Southwest region and the IOS market,” Chris Tecu, OmniTRAX senior vice president, said. “The location combines exceptional rail connectivity with custom transload and logistics solutions in one of our nation’s highest population centers.”
The demand for IOS in the Phoenix market has been outpacing nationwide demand, driven by a large number of manufacturing and nearshoring projects. Demand is even more intense in the Casa Grande submarket because of the high density of advanced manufacturing infrastructure in South Phoenix and the geographic nearshoring advantages from the Arizona/Mexico border.
Casa Grande is located approximately midway between Phoenix and Tucson. The site will provide industrial customers serving Phoenix and the Southwest with IOS and transload services.
The site is surrounded by many industrial companies including Hexcel Corporation, Lucid, LKQ, Tractor Supply Company and Wright Asphalt.
OmniTRAX’s purchase of the Casa Grande site and the Sonoran Valley Rail is part of the company’s commitment to build a national network of rail-served real estate sites dedicated to providing multiple supply chain solutions for its multi-market clients.
