Oregonians asked to participate in transportation survey

The Rebuilding Transportation Vision Workgroup is seeking Oregonians’ opinions on the state’s transportation system through Sept. 10.

The workgroup is developing recommendations to maintain and improve the transportation system. The survey will ask questions about transportation priorities, how funds should be spent and what a well-managed transportation system look like, among other topics.

The survey will be posted on the Oregon Department of Transportation and partner organizations’ social media pages. Feedback will be used to inform the workgroup’s recommendations that will be delivered to Gov. Tina Kotek in December.

“A critical part of the effort to meet the state’s transportation needs will be prioritizing and holding accountable the resources we currently have to keep providing the maintenance of our roads and bridges that Oregonians rely on,” Kotek said. “This survey creates another opportunity to hear from Oregonians about what the state should prioritize to make sure recommendations reflect their input.”

The goal of the survey is to create a neutral space for residents to be heard directly.

“Experts from around the state are working to develop recommendations for Oregon’s transportation future, and we can’t do this effectively without giving Oregonians an opportunity to share their priorities for our transportation system and to be part of this process,” Grace Crunican, workgroup co-chairwoman, said.
