Colorado-based OmniTRAX, an infrastructure company, recently signed a long-term rail switching agreement for a pharmaceutical-grade sodium bicarbonate production facility in Green River, Wyo.
The facility is owned by New Jersey-based Church and Dwight, a household and personal care products manufacturer.
Church and Dwight is the parent company of multiple brands used in a variety of industrial, institutional, medical, food and specialty cleaning applications including Arm & Hammer, OxiClean, Nair, and Orajel. The company is the largest baking soda producer in the United States and its Green River facility produces Arm & Hammer brand baking soda. Globally, 90 percent of the trona ore deposits, an ingredient in baking soda, are found in Wyoming.
Under the terms of the agreement, OmniTRAX will provide the facility with dedicated switching service.
“Arm & Hammer is an iconic American brand and OmniTRAX is proud to provide the safe and reliable rail service to keep Church and Dwight’s Green River facility moving smoothly,” OmniTRAX CEO Colby Tanner said.
This is OmniTRAX’s third Green River operation added in the past year.
OmniTRAX provides customers with terminal and switching services, multimodal transloading, rail freight, car storage, land purchase and industrial development and other services. It operates 32 railroads, serving ports, industrial parks, and industry leaders.
