The U.S. Department of Transportation recently awarded 76 infrastructure grants worth more than $607 million.

The grants were awarded to various agencies that will allocate the funds.

“Under President (Donald) Trump’s leadership, America is building again,” said U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy. “The last administration claimed to ‘build back better,’ but they didn’t build back anything. Instead, they inserted wasteful social justice and green mandates into grants that drove up construction costs and delayed projects. We’ll continue to move at lightning speed to get shovels in the ground and projects up and running.”

Grants include:

Federal Aviation Administration will award five projects $30 million through the Airport Improvement Program – Supplemental and six projects $32 million through the Airport Terminals Program.

The Federal Highway Administration will award eight projects $33 million through the National Culvert Removal, Replacement, and Restoration Grant and 17 projects $126 million through the Wildlife Crossings Pilot Program.

The Federal Railroad Administration will award 12 projects $36 million through Railroad Crossing Elimination and one project $59 million through Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements.

The Federal Transit Administration will award one project $412,000 through Tribal Transit Competitive, one project $12 million through Buses and Bus Facilities Competitive, and four projects $25 million through Low or No Emission Grants Competitive.
