The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI), a trucking industry not-for-profit organization, recently appointed Gregg Troian as board of directors president.
“We are excited to welcome Gregg to the ATRI board of directors,” ATRI President and COO Rebecca Brewster said. “His experience as a member of the RAC gives him a strong appreciation for our research prioritization process, which combined with his industry expertise makes him an excellent addition to the Institute’s Board of Directors.”
Troian has more than 40 years of transportation experience. Over the course of his career, he has held multiple roles in business development, operations and senior leadership. He has spent the last 38 years with PGT Trucking, having played a role in the company’s growth and development, and currently serves on PGT board of directors.
Troian was a 2023-2024 ATRI Research Advisory Committee member and received the 2022 Heavy Duty Trucking Truck Fleet Innovator Award. He serves on Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee as vice chairman through the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce and is on the Ryder Carrier Advisory Board.
He also is a member of multiple industry groups including the American Trucking Associations, the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association, and the Truckload Carriers Association.
