Colorado’s electric vehicle (EV) incentives make it possible for residents to lease a Nissan LEAF for as little as $19 per month with no down payment other than taxes and fees.
Colorado EV buyers qualify for up to $26,500 in discounts on a new EV purchase or lease.
“More than ever, transitioning to an EV is a win-win proposition that every Coloradan should consider,” Will Toor, Colorado Energy Office executive director, said at an event celebrating the state’s low EV costs. “Beyond getting incredible deals on EVs and saving even more money with lower fuel and maintenance costs, switching to an electric vehicle makes a big difference in improving air quality and cutting climate-harming greenhouse gas emissions. We are making really important progress in reaching our EV goals and are grateful to manufacturers and dealers who are helping in ensuring there are affordable opportunities for buyers across the state.”
Coloradans are eligible for state tax credits for purchasing or leasing a new EV of either $2,500 or $5,000, depending on the manufacturer’s suggested retail price.
Those exchanging an eligible old or high-emitting vehicle also may be eligible for a $4,000 rebate for a used EV purchase or lease, or a $6,000 rebate for a new EV purchase or lease.
