Oklahoma-based Groendyke Transport, a trucking technology company, recently entered into a definitive agreement to purchase Florida-based Linden Bulk Transportation’s (LBT) tank truck assets from Depot Connect International, a provider in the tank container services industry.

The purchase will expand Groendyke’s footprint to Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, and strengthen its presence in the Gulf states.

Both Groendyke and LBT specialize in hauling chemicals, petroleum products, and other bulk hazardous materials.

“We are excited to bring the folks at Linden Bulk into the Groendyke family,” Greg Hodgen Groendyke CEO, said. “We can’t wait to show them a big welcome and add them to our very strong team.”

The deal is expected to close on Sept. 23. Once it closes, Groendyke will have truck terminals in 18 states. It also will have its first location in the Northeast since 2015.

Groendyke Transport is a privately held, family-owned company. It operates 40 locations in 15 states and services 49 states, Canada and Mexico.

LBT was founded in 1982 and has seven locations in six states.

Earlier this year, Groendyke won its ninth National Tank Truck Carriers North American Safety Champion Award. The award honors the carrier with the best overall safety record and program.
