Web application has processed 1.1 million trips since January

ABT Clearinghouse, a web-based system that manages transportation network companies’ (TNC) operations and revenue, has successfully processed 1.1 million trips at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport since January.

For the past 19 years, Atlanta has been the world’s busiest airport by passenger traffic. Last year, more than 104 million passengers traveled through the airport.

ABT Clearinghouse was developed by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) in partnership with San Francisco International Airport. It tracks TNC vehicles, including Lyft, Uber and Wingz, within designated GPS “geo-fence” areas and provides curbside enforcement efforts, roadway planning, and fee calculation and reconciliation.

It works by alerting airport operators whenever a driver enters or leaves the designated area and whenever a drop-off or pick-up occurs. The goal is to improve security and accountability as the demand for TNC services increases.

“Simply put: AAAE’s innovative reporting capabilities are a primary reason for Lyft’s success at Hartsfield-Jackson International,” Lyft Senior Director of U.S. Operations Bakari Brock said. “AAAE’s technological integration has been an enormous benefit for a company such as Lyft entering into airport agreements that demand accurate and reliable data reporting. Lyft’s relationship with AAAE is among our most valued and we look forward to maintaining this mutually beneficial partnership with Atlanta’s airport and AAAE for years to come.”
