Transportation and logistics solutions provider STG Logistics, Inc. said it continued its commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, employee safety and DEI principals in its 2023 Corporate Sustainability Report, issued Monday.
The report covers the company’s approach to meeting its sustainability goals, as well as initiatives introduced last year to ensure compliance with evolving regulations, and improving operations.
“I am incredibly excited to share this report, and even more proud of the strides we made over the last year,” Paul Svindland, STG’s CEO, said. “In 2023, we implemented new policies, processes and benefits to further cultivate a diverse workplace and foster inclusivity. We know that diversity strengthens us, ensuring we are resilient and adaptable in an ever-changing industry.”
According to STG, the company was able to make a comprehensive materiality assessment to identify, assess and prioritize sustainability topics important to stakeholders. Additionally, the report gives an overview of STG’s management system and business model and how those elements ensure the company is eco-friendly.
The report also looks at key initiatives to optimize energy and fuel utilization to reduce environmental impact, and at initiatives, including employee career development and healthcare benefits, to further help employees. STG also outlined its additional commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion including expanded fertility benefits and diversity holidays that grant employees eight hours to commemorate diversity in a way that resonates with them.
Officials with the company said its work in 2023 fortifies its governance framework, reinforces oversight and fosters a culture of ethics across the organization.
