Virginia-based Estes Forwarding Worldwide (EFW), a logistics and domestic and international freight forwarder company, recently completed the purchase of Minneapolis-based Superior Brokerage Services (SBS), a supply chain company.

“SBS is a company with an outstanding reputation,” Scott Fisher, EFW CEO, said. “Working together to combine forces has been seamless and the cultural fit between our companies is evident. Together, we are poised to offer even more agile services to our customers globally.”

The purchase will double EFW’s revenue and will increase the company’s presence in Asia. It also will increase the number of international services the company offers and enhance its international capacity.

Paul Goff, SBS founder and president, will now serve as EFW executive vice president.

“This year has been monumental for us,” Fisher said. “As we reflect on our 20-year journey, nearing the $1 billion mark is a testament to our team’s dedication. Our collaboration with SBS is a significant milestone in our global expansion.”

Estes Forwarding Worldwide is a subsidiary of Estes, North America’s largest privately held transportation company. The purchase brings EFW’s work force from 750 to more than 1,100 employees.

Superior Brokerage Services specializes in domestic and international transportation, U.S. customs brokerage services, and warehousing.
