Glassboro, N.J.-based RLS Logistics, a third-party logistics provider specializing in value-added cold chain solutions, recently expanded its Newfield, N.J., cold storage warehouse.

“Adding cold storage warehouse capacity here has been well received by current and new customers,” John Gaudet, RLS Logistics vice president of business development, said. “We are well on our way to filling the space and moving new customers into our network. With increased cold storage inventory, enhanced capabilities in fulfillment, and LTL cross docking, this expansion is a great opportunity for the east coast marketplace.”

The company’s New Jersey warehouses offer public cold storage warehouse capacity to frozen and refrigerated shippers providing East Coast distribution. Shippers also will have access to RLS’ temperature-controlled freight brokerage and less than load (LTL) shipping services.

Shipping services include Walmart pool consolidation and LTL consolidation programs.

The warehouse allows businesses to manage with one accountability partner both their cold storage needs and transportation requirements.

“This development provides growth opportunities not only in our cold storage business but also in our direct to consumer fulfillment and cross docking warehouse business units,” Russell Leo, RLS Logistics CEO, said.

RLS Logistics offers cold storage warehousing, LTL and full truckload transportation, and direct-to-consumer fulfillment.
