Sterling, a company supporting the aerospace industry’s shipping needs, recently launched a global aerospace service to expedite urgently needed aircraft parts from a logistics service hub in Seattle staffed with Sterling drivers.

“We developed this new service based upon the voice of our customers — they told us what they needed and we’ve delivered. Sterling is committed to meeting their needs with fast and dedicated first mile support,” Robert Broderick, Sterling executive vice president, said.

Aerospace logistics professionals, including a specialized team of drivers and a dedicated fleet of vehicles, oversee the hub.

The aviation industry requires expedited access to aircraft components to maintain the operational integrity of commercial airline fleets. After a client’s request, a Sterling driver will pick up the aircraft parts.

The service provides the fastest method to retrieve and deliver parts globally to airline operators. The service also will minimize the costs and prolonged maintenance periods associated with a grounded an aircraft.

It includes a chain of custody protocols to guarantee the integrity of every shipment.

Sterling specializes in shipping aircraft parts, handling heavy or oversized cargo, and managing hazardous materials. It is a Kuehne + Nagel company. Kuehne + Nagel is one of the world’s leading logistics providers.
