Pratt Industries, an Australian corrugated packaging company, recently announced that it is investing $500 million in its Carlisle, Pa., facility.
The project will create hundreds of jobs over the next decade.
“Pratt Industries is proud to employ more than 800 Pennsylvanians across the state in high-paying, green collar, advanced manufacturing jobs, and our total culminative investment in Pennsylvania now exceeds $500 million,” Anthony Pratt, Pratt Industries executive chairman, said. “As part of that commitment, and as a result of Gov. (Josh) Shapiro’s leadership, I’m honored today to pledge a further investment of $500 million in recycling, remanufacturing and clean energy infrastructure over the next 10 years, to create hundreds of new jobs in the great state of Pennsylvania. Our investments will allow the company to grow for years to come, supporting our customers, employees and the community.”
The company previously invested $500 million. The latest $500 million commitment invests in recycling, remanufacturing and clean energy infrastructure.
Pratt Industries is the largest Australian employer in the United States, employing 11,000 people in more than 25 states. It is the world’s largest, privately-held producer of 100 percent recycled containerboard and the fifth largest corrugated packaging company in the United States.
