Corrugated Partners Group, a collaborative network of sheet feeders with 15 factories nationwide, will be investing $52.7 million to build its first Pennsylvania location in Chambersburg.
The 420,000-square-foot facility will be called Keystone Sheets. It will produce single, double, and triple wall corrugated sheets for use in making boxes, and will serve customers in the mid-Atlantic region.
The company produces more than 20 percent of the country’s corrugated sheet requirements. The new plant is expected to create at least 80 jobs within the next three years.
“I’m thrilled that the commonwealth won this advanced manufacturing project over other states and am pleased to welcome Corrugated Partners Group to Franklin County,” Gov. Josh Shapiro said. “Investments like this one support Pennsylvania’s economy by creating good-paying jobs that support our local communities – and we will continue to compete aggressively for great projects like this one as we send the clear message to the world that Pennsylvania is open for business.”
The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development submitted a funding proposal for a $160,000 work force development grant to train workers and a $400,000 Pennsylvania First grant.
The agency also encouraged Corrugated Partners Group to apply for tax credits through the Manufacturing Tax Credit Program.
