Nexterus, a Pennsylvania-based supply chain management and third-party logistics services provider, has agreed to help INTERIORS HOME improve efficiencies and grow profits in its home furnishings shops and distribution center.

“We work hand-in-hand with customers after completing a deep dive of their operations to determine the challenges and issues the client is facing and how to help them best,” Ryan Polakoff, Nexterus president, said. “Using Nexterus software and services, clients can take advantage of cost and time savings, allowing the business to focus on their core competencies while we take care of everything else within their transportation and supply chain operations.”

INTERIORS HOME, which operates three showrooms in Central Pennsylvania, contacted Nexterus to help improve its freight operations and revenues.

The company had been using a furniture manufacturer that provided its own trucking service. Freight deliveries were at the manufacturer’s discretion and would take weeks, upsetting customers who couldn’t receive orders within a reasonable timeframe.

Nexterus promises to get freight delivered within a two-hour window.

Nexterus helps small- and medium-sized companies improve their supply chains by applying expertise and technology to manage and optimize global supply chains, and solving urgent and complex supply chain issues.

It is the oldest private third-party logistics company in the United States.
