Penske Logistics, a third-party logistics provider, plans to open two new offices and increase hiring this year.

“We are opening these new offices to support our freight brokerage expansion goals and to be closer to population centers that feature a wealth of supply chain talent,” Jeff Bullard, Penske Logistics senior vice president of operations for freight management,. “While many of our new hires will be based in Chicago, we will also add new associates to existing locations in Beachwood, Ohio; Reading, Pa.; and Corona, Calif.”

The 9,000-square-foot Chicago location will have 80 employees during the first 12 months working in account management, customer service, operations and sales.

The 5,000-square-foot New Jersey location will employ between 25 and 30 people within the next year working in customer service, logistics coordination and operations.

“The growth of our freight brokerage offerings will provide our customers with increased access to additional capacity and flexible solutions, which are sorely needed in this unpredictable economic environment,” Brian Kenney, Penske Logistics vice president of brokerage, said.
