Minnesota projects receive $18 million

The Minnesota Department of Transportation recently awarded $18 million to eight construction projects statewide through the Transportation Economic Development program.

The program funds transportation infrastructure projects that create economic development opportunities and jobs.

The projects are:

The city of Maple Grove received $5 million to complete westbound Highway 610 to the eastbound I-94 connection.

The city of Blaine received $4.6 million to construct a new section of road west of Highway 65 between 99th Avenue and 109th Avenue as part of a larger corridor-improvement project.

The city of Burnsville received $3.1 million to construct a ramp from southbound I-35W to Buck Hill Road and County Road 42 near the Burnsville Center Redevelopment Area.

Carver County received $3 million to improve the Highway 41/County Road 10 intersection in Chaska.

Douglas County received $1.19 million to install a roundabout at the I-94/Highway 27/County Road 46/County Road 45 intersection in Alexandria.

The city of Monticello received $469,000 to improve the Highway 25/County Road 75 intersection downtown.

Carlton County received $400,000 to construct a reduced conflict intersection at the Highway 210/County Road 61 intersection between Carlton and Cloquet.

Wadena County received $350,000 to realign the Highway 10/County Road 92 intersection in Wadena.
