Port Authority of Allegheny County officials said the agency is discontinuing service to the South Fayette Park and Ride on Saturday, July 4, 2020.
The park and ride property’s owner at 100 Hickory Grade Road is ending its agreement with the Authority to allow plans for a new development at the location.
The closure means the 31-Bridgeville and G31-Bridgeville Flyer will no longer serve the park and ride lot, officials said, indicating no other stops would be missed.
Additionally, Port Authority customers who regularly park at South Fayette Park and Ride are encouraged to park at South Hills Village Garage, noting the daily parking fee for South Hills Village Garage is $2 per day or $22 for a monthly parking pass.
Woodville Park and Ride is also available and is served by both the 31-Bridgeville and G31-Bridgeville Flyer, but quickly fills on weekday mornings.
Riders seeking more information are encouraged to contact Port Authority Customer Service by calling 412-442-2000, via Twitter @pghtransitcare, or accessing the agency’s live chat at PortAuthority.org.
