Delta recently named Henry Kuykendall as its senior vice president of Airport Operations, Northeast and promoted Stephanie Baldwin to vice president of Airport Operations for the John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in an effort to support the airline’s continued operations in the New York and northeast region.
In his new position, Kuykendall will provide oversight to airline operations at a number of major northeast airports including New York’s LaGuardia Airport, the John F. Kennedy International Airport, the Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, and Boston’s Logan International Airport.
Delta is currently the New York area’s largest airline carrier and accounts for more than 500 peak-day departures from its three New York-area airports to more than 130 worldwide destinations.
“Henry brings the skills that are necessary to position Delta for continued long-term growth on a global scale, while also reinforcing our record of leadership in New York, the most competitive market in the world,” Gareth Joyce, senior vice president for Delta’s Airport Customer Relations, said. “I am confident that a strengthened focus on our key northeast stations will help us continue to build on our many accomplishments in this important region.”
Baldwin will now lead a team of more than 2,000 customer service personnel at JFK, which serves as a major hub for the airline. She returns to JFK after first joining the location as Delta’s director of above-wing operations in 2009.
Baldwin has served in a number of leadership capacities with Delta, including stops at Washington-Dulles International Airport, the Detroit Metropolitan Airport, and the Reagan-Washington National Airport.
“JFK will continue to serve as a prominent global hub for Delta, and Stephanie’s familiarity with the station and her well-earned reputation for results will help us redouble our efforts to execute on our brand promise to deliver the experience our New York customers expect and deserve,” Kuykendall said.
