The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) recently awarded four projects statewide $8.7 million in Local Major Bridge Program grants.
The program funds bridge replacement, bridge rehabilitation, bridge demolition, and major bridge preventative maintenance projects.
Eligible bridges must be moveable/lift bridges or bridges with a deck area greater than 15,000 square feet. ODOT will fund up to 80 percent of eligible costs for all phases of a project with a maximum project cap of $20 million.
The awardees are:
The Fishinger Road Bridge Rehabilitation project in Franklin County was awarded $6.6 million to repaint steel beams, install a new concrete surface, and add a shared-use path over the Scioto River.
CR 33A Major Preventative Maintenance in Fairfield County was awarded $1.08 million to paint the CR 33A bridge.
