Accredo Packaging, a sustainable package solutions firm, recently completed its fourth expansion, a $10 million investment, at its Sugar Land, Texas, headquarters.
“More than a decade ago, we planted our roots here, and we are continuously proud to call Sugar Land our home,” Rex Varn, Accredo Packaging executive vice president, said. “We are growing rapidly, and the Sugar Land market has provided us with the workforce and space we need to continue that upward trajectory.”
The project added 83,000-square-feet of office space to the company’s 650,000-square-foot campus and created 30 jobs. The company has pledged to retain at least 525 jobs through 2031.
The company opened in 2009 and is the first and only flexible packaging manufacturing facility in North America with LEED Silver certification.
The company manufactures packaging for baked and frozen foods, bottled water film, confectionery, pet food and treats, snacks, and a diverse range of grocery items
Previous expansions took place in 2013 and 2021.
The Sugar Land Economic Development (SLOED) helped facilitate the company’s expansions. SLOED serves as Sugar Land Texas’ economic development organization and focuses on cultivating a thriving business community, driving economic growth, and enhancing the quality of life within the region through industry.
