Henkel, a global adhesives, sealants and functional coatings company, recently opened a Technology Center in Bridgewater, N.J.
The 70,000-square-foot facility showcases Henkel’s technology portfolio of adhesives, sealants, functional coatings, and specialty materials and includes an interactive infinity room with a display of Henkel Adhesives Technologies’ most innovative solutions. Features include advances in engineered wood building applications; digital solutions for maintenance, repair and operation of manufacturing equipment; smart health solutions with printed electronics for diapers and personal health monitoring; sustainable packaging for consumer goods; and sustainable trends in palletizing.
“Innovation is at the core of what we do,” Michael Todd, Henkel Adhesive Technologies vice president of innovation and new business development, said. “The Technology Center Bridgewater is designed to encourage collaboration across the value chain. We have successfully started this concept with the opening of our Inspiration Center Düsseldorf last year and aim to adapt and leverage in core markets for our Adhesive Technologies business such as North America as well.”
Henkel has customers in more than 800 industry segments. The company’s North American portfolio includes brands such as all, Bonderite, Dial, Loctite, Persil, Purex, Snuggle, Schwarzkopf and Technomelt.
The company employs more than 8,000 people in North Carolina with more than 200 workers in Bridgewater.
